Hong Kong Thurs-Sat

Just got back Monday night from Beijing and I’m off again to HONG KONG!! Although this is supposed to be a work related trip, I’m still very excited! Feels like I haven’t been back in so long! I used to go once every three months but ever since I got my working visa I have been neglecting good ol’ hk. It’s still freezing in Shanghai so it’s definitely going to be a nice change in weather! Early flight tomorrow and late flight back on Saturday night. So far, the plan is to check out the new M2 Saturday night. Wonder how it’s going to look : P

Stay tuned for updates in HK! Byee

3 Nights in Beijing : Karen’s Birthday Rampage

My weekend trip to Beijing was EPIC, as all my friends call it. Non-stop eating and partying Friday to Sunday.

Dinner at Maison Boulard to celebrate my girl, Karen’s Birthday. 3 bottles of Moet right when we arrive thanks to the alcoholics. The alcoholics table, which I was not a part of, was completely hammered before the main course . Seriously, 20 of us Shanghighers in Beijing = chaos!! After dinner it was back to Park Hyatt & Xiu. After more Moet it was off to GT BANANA to the Paul Van Dyk party. I am definitely not recommeding anyone to go to GT Banana but it was still a fun night. GT Banana can not be anymore ‘lo’ than it already is. The good / bad thing about everyone staying in one hotel is that.. the party really doesn’t stop till 6 or 8 in the morning! We almost got kicked out of the hotel our first night but by the second night I think they realized just how much money they were making off of these drunkards that they kind of left us alone with the exception of sending guards to stand outside the room  HA HA HA. My friends room service bill ended up being 14,000. that’s fucking ridiculous. Ridiculously fun is how I would describe this trip. So many priceless moments to look back on!

Saturday we went to 老北京炸酱面 which was very disappointing.  It’s really famous but taste like crap. Don’t go. After lunch we walked around San Li Tuen then went to 后海 to at least try and add some touristy activities to our trip! Dinner was at 1949.. the food was soooo gooooooooood! Thanks to Mike Han for booking dinner :) the beijing duck was delicious! Yumm. Def making a trip back there next time I visit Beijing. I think they have 2 or 3 different restaurants there with an art gallery. Didn’t walk around the place too much because I was freezing and really squeezed for time. After dinner we had girls night!!

老北京炸酱面.. Disappointment written all over Karen’s face.

Originally all the girls + Penn were the only people staying until Monday but then half of the boys ended up extending their trip with us. Sunday night was a BLAST! It started off boring but ended up being a wild night. Sucks for all the responsible people that left Sunday afternoon hahaha U MISSED OUT! So much love ~

It was nice to just chill and take a nap during the day because Friday and Saturday were too hectic. We did everything in a rush. It was interesting living with 5 girls at Park Hyatt.. their bathroom/room design is really only suitable for couples! Open bath and shower kind of drove me crazy. None of them cared though hahah

My conclusion to this post is that I had an amazing time with my friends. It’s not where you are, it’s the company you are with. If we can have a great time at a place like COCO BANANA, we can have fun anywhere!! I love all my maniac friends ♥ x

Hello Mini

Hello Kitty Instax Mini! So cute.. got this for myself during Christmas time and it was also my secret Santa gift to someone else. It’s funny that I also received an all white instax mini as my gift hahah so right now I have 3 of these cameras!!!
I like the new Hello Kitty one because there is a tiny mirror next to the lens so you can see what the hell you’re aiming at. I am the WORST at aiming with this camera so let’s pray this new mirror add on helps me out :x
If You’re wondering why I haven’t blogged about this sooner, it’s because I haven’t had time to use it yet! I’m bringing it on my Beijing trip so expect lots of polaroid pictures coming sooon ~

Thank you, Elin ♥ for the all white mini : )

SICK!

I.AM.SO.SICK.THIS.REALLY.BLOWS. Crazy weekend aftermath equals FEVER! Friday was Mikey Yang’s birthday party. Crazy CRAZY packed! Saturday, Guandi. Sunday, Alice in Wonderland & Cashbox. Monday, home in bed with FEVER!!
I can’t even remember the last time I was this sick! Must be something that’s going around. I hope everyone gets better before our Beijing trip this friday. We have about 20 people flying to Beijing to celebrate Karen’s birthday! All flying together and all staying at the Park Hyatt : )

I have zero energy right now.. tomorrow I need to go to the hospital, sign more contracts to my new apt, check up on my stores construction and also meet with my accountant. F$%#@!! I hope I don’t pass out or throw up on anyone. This Tylenol better do it’s job! I will update tomorrow with a sneak peak of Vanitas Shanghai in construction! I’m so bored I’m gonna go try and watch some Naruto Shippuden. Yes, I am a nerd.

Awesome

Hot Pot Homestyle !

It actually turned out to be ridiculously good! Thanks to Justin for doing the shopping with me and kudos to Phoebe for mixing the soup! We bought everything from The Friendship store. The beef was kind of nasty.. everything else was good but wayyyy too overpriced! Turned out to be more expensive than Hui Ge!!

Bowling!

Randomly went bowling yesterday after brunch with Theresa and Jason. I think the last time I went bowling was over 2 years ago! Jason gave me a head start and bet that if I lose I would have to take two shots and if he lost I could come up with ANYTHING I wanted… I wasn’t that excited about the bet because I knew I would lose but it was tempting thinking up all the stupid things I could make him do if I WON!!! ARGHh
Needless to say, I lost because this dude can throw spinning curve balls .. wtf

Chanel : Les Secrets De La Veste

The event was held at the Peninsula Chanel store. They taught us the secrets to making a Chanel jacket along  and how all the Chanel buttons have their own meaning. Such as the first picture of the pink jacket, the buttons are lion heads because Coco Chanel is a Leo! Awesome haha..

The red couture jacket is Designed by Karl Lagerfeld and so far, one has been sold in China. It’s very very chinese inspired. The buttons are of a five point star with tiny pearls surrounding it.

It was pretty cool getting to see a couple of vintage chanel jackets.. esp one that Coco Chanel wore herself!

Free gift! : )
